You will recall that last week we appealed for help in finding a temporary home for an eighteen year old moggie as his owner was having difficulty paying cattery fees while he is in hostel accommodation. The good news is that we are going to house the cat this afternoon with an animal charity which is looking after him without charge.
We would like to thank the Berkshire centre of National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) located at Trindledown Farm, Great Shefford.
A number of Soup Kitchen supporters have offered food and money in aid of this appeal. Donations can be made direct to the NAWT via their national donation page or by speaking to Tracy Waldron, centre manager on 01488 638584 for local contributions and support.
Set in 10 acres on the edge of the Lambourn Downs, Trindledown Farm is dedicated exclusively to caring for those animals enjoying the twilight years of their lives. Our centre is home to both field animals and domestic pets. Elderly animals make great companions for people looking to rehome a pet and can often suit those with the most sedentary of lifestyles.
